
The first edition of the CineSonora International Music Documentary Festival brings to Florianópolis some of the best documentaries in the genre produced in Brazil and around the world.
From September 17 to 21, the Centro Integrado de Cultura (CIC) in Florianópolis will host film and music enthusiasts for a program that includes screenings of feature and short films, music videos, and special guest sessions — all with free admission and public accessibility.

ABOUT
The CineSonora International Music Documentary Festival
will showcase audiovisual works related to the world of music, from September 17 to 21 at the Centro Integrado de Cultura in Florianópolis, Brazil.
Submissions are open to audiovisual productions, whether previously released or not, from any country, in the following formats:
Short Documentaries (up to 30 minutes) and Music Videos (up to 8 minutes).
The curated selection of invited films includes feature-length documentaries
and is held in partnership with IN-EDIT Brasil – International Music Documentary Film Festival, the leading event of its kind in the country.
The festival will offer 100% free programming for the public, including talks and panel discussions with guest filmmakers, music professionals, and audiovisual experts.
This project is carried out by the Government of the State of Santa Catarina
through the Fundação Catarinense de Cultura (FCC),with funding from the Federal Government and the Aldir Blanc National Policy.
The CineSonora International Music Documentary Festival
is a project by Scult Produtora, directed and produced by journalist and cultural producer Luciano Burin and musician and cultural producer Daniel Arena.
Based in Florianópolis (SC), Scult has been active since 2011 in the creation, development, and production of original audiovisual projects, as well as the organization of cultural events.
The festival is an extension of the CineSonora film club, which since 2024 has held 20 screenings of music documentaries in Florianópolis, including music video exhibitions and live conversations with guests from the local cultural scene.
